The Central European University (CEU) has a super weekend included in the Executive MBA program where students can learn about how to “maximising your future”
During the super weekend the Executive MBA students get
- practical knowledge and skills that help them to become credible leaders
- and enable them to better respond to the challenges they will encounter in their careers.
The first lecture of the series is about credible leadership, which is then followed by the use LinkedIn for job search, powerful CV writing, tricks and criteria used by executive search firm behind the scenes, and the students are learning about executive coaching as well.
During the spring and autumn series of this super weekend framework I was honored to be the speaker of the “credible leadership” course.
In these classes we analyzed what are the essentials of credible leadership, the differences of these criteria in the eyes of the owner, the boss and the subordinates.
We discussed the definition of the modern leader, the criteria of what it means and how to to be authentic but we also talked about what was called by Pope Francis 15 leaders of disease is characteristic.
We investigated the effect of cultural differences in the decision-making mechanism, and we talked about what was considered essential by the Harvard Business Review survey of managerial capabilities as well.
These lectures were caracterized by very lively interactive conversations. And since the next day when learning to use LinkedIn, many of the students invited me to connect I think I can safely consider that this was a sign of positive feedback.
