It was an honor to be invited to the management kick off meeting of the GE Water division. According to the Executive Board decision last October the Water division will be sold. My task was to give an overview about the impact and coming tasks from an organizational point of view and to provide an overview of the differences between the scenarios of financial or strategic buyer based on my extensive experience gained in mergers and acquisitions. The audience included managers from over 30 countries that were asking many interesting practical questions. We closed an interactive, lively morning session.
