The summit was created with the intention to improve the competitiveness of Hungary and takes place once a year. This year 4 workgroups were created to discuss the business environment, innovation, digital economy and labour market topics. Participants included Péter Szijjártó, Ferenc Pongrácz and Robert Ésik, the workgroups were moderated by one partner of the big four global consulting firms. The importance of the topics were visible by the fact that a large number of the company top leaders were present.
Technology sector (Microsoft, Cisco, HP), Telecommunications sector (Telenor), Industry (GE, NI, Lego, Dreher) all were present – just to pick a few examples.
The workshops were held in a very good atmosphere, a real dialog developed, it would have been good to have more time. The competitive labour force and the labour market were discussed the most but the impact of planned regulatory changes to boost the economy were discussed too.
