The first Community meeting of the Hungarian Outsourcing Association this year took place on the 15th of February. The audience of 40-50 people consisted leaders of Shared Service Centers as well as leaders of Placement Agencies. The event started with the presentation of the invited speakers and continued with a very interactive round table discussion.
As a guest speaker, my presentation was focused on a short overview about the current HR trends and HR challenges of the Hungarian Shared Service Centers based on my extensive experience in management both in HR and the SSC sector. It was not surprising that the majority of the presentations and discussions centered around finding, motivating and retaining talent.
We had an intense discussion whether University graduates or people graduated in the “school of life” are more suitable to the labour needs of the shared services sector. It was also expressed that the companies don’t fully exploit the benefits of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and only use the Placement agencies as their capacity expansion. It was noted that currently there is huge amount of openings for recruiters on the market as companies are looking to speed up finding the future talent needed for their organisation.
It was a very pleasant yet vivid aftrenoon with discussion full of very relevant content.
